old, Learn something new.
We are the Nowthen Historical Power Association. This
group evolved
from the Anoka Engine club and the Rogers Pioneer Power Association.
The Rogers group restored a 22" International Harvester Threshing
machine and presented many threshing shows and equipment exhibitions
near Rogers MN. The Anoka group collected, restored, and displayed
old tractors and stationary gas engines. The merged groups now
present the annual Nowthen Threshing Show on grounds in Burns
Township, MN.
Your visit to our show site and support of our projects
allow us to
continue our mission of education and research into a variety of
power sources and the equipment associated with them.
Our grounds are home to a five cylinder Fairbanks Morse Diesel
engine, a Worthington steam engine, an actual Log House and Log
Barn;
a recreation General Store; the Burns Free Church (c. 1997);
A print shop with equipment dating from 1900; a scale model train
offering rides to one an all; a working blacksmith shop; and many
many engines, tractors and pieces of equipment.
We invite you to join with us. Membership is open
to those
interested in joining with us and assisting with our objectives
of
education, preservation and training about various power forms and
the associated equipment.
